The Avengers: New clip debuts featuring Maria Hill and Nick Fury!
With just a few weeks to go before it gets released in theaters, the hype and excitement for The Avengers is getting bigger and bigger! With that said, Cinema Blend has posted up an article which features a clip from The Late Show with David Letterman, where Cobie Smulders was featured as guest! Those who have been following the news on The Avengers knows that Ms. Smulders plays Agent Maria Hill, and this clip gives us a good look at her character, featuring a discussion between her and her boss Nick Fury (played by Samuel L. Jackson) during a tense situation at S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters! SPOILERS here of course, so view at your own risk!

Paul W.S. Anderson confirms Resident Evil: Retribution
Love or hate it, the Resident Evil (aka Bio Hazard in Japan) movie franchise earned big bucks with its last entry, "Resident: Evil Afterlife". As a longtime fan of the series, the films by Paul W.S. Anderson have absolutely nothing to do with the games, save for porting characters, monsters, and the Umbrella Corporation elements and using them for his own interpretation of the concept. As I noted in my review of the last film, my initial disappointment in the franchise soon turned to respect for the continuity he has built up for the series. Now, the director is set to return with a fifth installment, which his wife and the main star of the movies, Milla Jovovich, called "Resident Evil: Retribution", and it's been confirmed by Anderson himself that is definitely the film's title.

As posted in Bloody Disgusting and Cinema Blend, Paul W.S. Anderson is slated to direct and work on RE: Retribution for a September 14, 2012 release. It will see Jovovich back in the role of Alice, as she works her way from Toronto to Tokyo to battle and put an end to the Umbrella Corporation once and for all. Also expected to return is actress Sienna Guillory, who played the live action version of the well known Resident Evil/ Bio Hazard heroine Jill Valentine. Guillory was last seen in a cameo appearance in Afterlife as Jill with a mind controlling device in her chest, mimicking her position and fate in the events of the video game Resident Evil 5. For additional details and info on the story, visit the source post at Bloody Disgusting and Cinema Blend!
UPDATE: It seems that they're bringing out the rest of the other "RE Character veterans" into this, as Bloody Disgusting also mentioned in their article that Retribution is looking to cast actors for the roles of "Barry Burton" and "Leon Scott Kennedy", two VERY WELL KNOWN figures in the RE Game mythos (especially the latter, who is the main hero in Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4). Also, the role of Jill MAY be recast, but we won't know til future updates arrive.

The Dark Knight Rises Update: Trailer description appears online.
I've seen the advanced screening premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II yesterday (and I must say as a non-fan of the franchise, it was quite a good film to wrap the series up neatly). Unfortunately, no trailers were shown and I have yet to see the teaser to Warner Bros. and Christopher Nolan's next and final Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises. However, interesting news popped up in the woodwork these past few hours, as reports from Cinema Blend, Slash Film, and Bleeding Cool lead to suggest that said teaser trailer HAS BEEN SHOWN elsewhere in the world, specifically in a theater in Britain when it WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BE SHOWN yet.
What you see above is a screen capture of said trailer, which played somewhere in the UK. This was featured in CinemaBlend and it also includes a brief description of what to expect from the trailer, which you can see below and is as quoted from the source article in CinemaBlend. Remember, this is possible SPOILER MATERIAL, so read at your own risk!"Gary Oldman voiceover, talking about how they needed him, then he had to disappear. Footage of Bruce Wayne walking up the mountain from Batman Begins, and surrounded by bats from Batman Begins. This is intercut with Gary Oldman looking like he is dying in a hospital bed, talking to what seems to be Bruce Wayne ion the foreground. Footage of the batpod driving away from the camera from TDK. Then it goes black, and Tom Hardy as Bane in his mask appears for a moment, then disappears. Logo in a crumbling skyline, as in the poster, then the film name, then a shot of a worn out Batman about to fight Bane in the foreground."
From the way this sounds and how everything seems to corroborate this, it looks like this is the real deal we'll be getting once this teaser makes the rounds in selected screenings and officially pops up online. Christopher Nolan is ready to bring his version of Batman full circle. Now all we can do is wait until it hits theaters next year! For more info and details, visit CinemaBlend, Slash Film, or Bleeding Cool!
