During the Asia Pop Comic Con in Manila, I got to meet and interview Billy Tan. A Malaysian-American, he is one of the few Asian artists that made it big in the comic book industry.
His notable work on the flagship title for Green Lantern starting with issue #21 with writer Robert Venditti who took over Geoff Johns as the writer would garner further attention in his career.

He joins his fellow artists Carlo Pagulayan and Michael Jason Paz last Saturday for a special DC Comics signing which launched the titles Deathstroke and Segovia’s debut in Action Comics #961 as one of the three rotating artists assigned at the flash ship Superman book that returned to its original numbering after New 52.
After opening last May 4 in the United States, Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios superhero team up movie The Avengers has literally assembled legions of fans and movie goers in a manner like no other, and has nabbed a resounding $200.3 Million on its first opening weekend run, shattering the record once held by Warner Bros. by last year's final Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II! The movie also opened in international theaters on April 25th, and in over 12 days of release, the film has grossed more than $641.8 Million internationally! As a result, the film has had the biggest opening in countries such as Russia, Mexico, New Zealand, Hong Kong and the Philippines! Within the week and whether people like or not, DC Comics will make history by bringing an end to their old continuity of comics and ushering in a new one that they have affectionately called "the new 52", which is comprised of 52 new #1 books that will release throughout the month of September and bring forth the new DC Universe. It begins this Wednesday actually with the release of Flashpoint #5 and the all-new Justice League #1, so to promote this milestone event even further, USA Today has gone ahead and conducted an interview with the artist of the latter issue and co-publisher of DC Comics, Jim Lee!
