NOVA | 9th Anniversary Group Show

05.16.2019 – In the early 2010s the booming art gallery scene in the Philippines has started to sprout all over Metro Manila. This produced and promoted the artistry for the best of the brightest talents that are making a name in foreign countries abroad.

This also gave birth to art events shows that not only catered to the traditional art form, but reinvigorated the interest thanks to these local galleries. Nova Gallery Manila is one of those haven that put the names to their works and their passion for the arts that had recent celebrated its ninth anniversary.

Vinyl on Vinyl: Rob Sanchez Viewing Room!

05.08.2014 – Sometimes talent is not born they get developed its either through self education or in an institution that teaches art. For Rob “Danger” Sanchez painting great art did not come as easy as trying to ride a bicycle.

He learned the craft through trial and error of self education. Anyone has to start somewhere and Rob also revealed that all the artists, who inspired his work, are from contemporary modern art which shows what inspired his art style.

Sights & Highlights: JP Cuison's Misplaced!

10.10.2013 – JP Cuison has worn many hats as a “Komiks” artist, animator, and member of a former band with Kiko Machine, Gorgoro Henson’s voice, and the guy who created Filipino pop culture posters under his Gigzilla production.

He’s done it all and remains grounded to his roots and never forget his beginnings as a struggling artist. JP Cuison has a mini-art exhibit which is “Misplaced” and you might not have figured it out that Apol Sta. Maria and Mannix Abrera was behind this idea but you’ve come to the right place.

05.30.2013 – If you missed the launch of Edwin Res Reyes’ solo exhibit in the “Dream Machine” chances are you’re still going to see it at Vinyl on Vinyl for the next two weeks. The imagination created by Reyes would astound the art aficionado in you just seeing how cool these art pieces accompanied with an exclusive resin toy.

You’ll be compelled to explore the world of Edwin Tres Reyes’ latest solo exhibit. The Dream Machine is described it as a conceptualize core, it seeks to capture the zeitgeist of an age where stories were told in purest form.

Big Wow Comic Fest 2013: Superman Mini Exhibit!

05.19.2013 – Big Wow Comic Fest this year focus on promoting the 75th anniversary of Superman and the event doesn't need any further introduction rather show some interesting material with contributions by the artists who made the character known for its lasting legacy.

The event had set up a small exhibit area just at the back of Aspen Comics which was celebrating its 10th anniversary. The first day was received by a huge crowd compared to last year’s event. This year includes big names like Neal Adams, J. Scott Campbell and Stan Lee to grace this annual comic convention.

Sights & Highlights: "Warhol VS Lichtenstein!"

11.20.2012 – JP Cuison’s 3rd solo exhibit at the Secret Fresh has a bit of art & music all rolled into one since he designs posters for events under the Gigzilla name. Previously he was part of the Kiko Machine band that produced an album and the man behind the puppet in Gorgoro Henson.

Multi-talented creative individual who defines JP Cuison and might not forget he’s been in the previous Komikon peddling his copies of Punnx Komiks that parodied “Funny Komiks” as well as animated shorts of Filipino inspired Avengers led by Captain Barangay Captain & Mighty T!

Manila Art 2: Secret Fresh Piyukherts Toy Launch!

09.29.2012 – Secret Fresh once again will have a booth at the prestigious Manila Art 2 exhibition which will be held on October 3-6, 2012 at the SMX Convention Centre. For this year they launch a new designer toy in “Piyukherts” which will be limited only to 35 pieces.



The latest character from the Secret Fresh exclusive designer toys is from the creative mind of Lynyrd Paras which stands more than 12 inch and has intricate details which includes accessories that came with the this femme fatale that would literally break your heart.

Vinyl on Vinyl Event: Surface by DEFS & VR!

09.28.2012 – There’s two new artists ready to launch their works in the upcoming exhibit at the Vinyl on Vinyl store this Saturday September 29, 2012. DEFS & VR who will have their works on exhibit from September 29 to October 17, 2012 features portraits, sculpture and some interesting pieces on display.



Dubbed as “Surface” by DEFS & VR an open reception where their works will be on exhibit and the event starts at 6PM. You’ll find this another interesting event at the Vinyl on Vinyl store and for more detail of the gallery read about its interesting concept.

06.29.2012 – This Saturday at Vinyl on Vinyl feast your senses and open your minds to the visuals of two talented artists in Froilan Calayag and Ramon Dela Cruz-Gaston team-up to bring you The 7 Chronicles of Madness featuring prophetic circle of doom and turned it into a labyrinthine carnival of mind boggling naïf creatures, esoteric symbols, inside jokes, personal memories, snatches of everyday conversations and meditations of the future.



Prepare to be enthralled into the visual creations of Calayag and Dela Cruz-Gaston for you to witness the show's 7'x7' centerpiece titled "Mad Calendar" collaboration in the truest word. Both painted together pushing their individual boundaries to greater heights.

"Out of Nothing" Exhibit at Vinyl on Vinyl!

12.07.2010 - The weekend here in the Philippines is very much clustered with events happening in the morning with the TS118 Super Size Outdoor Diorama, and at the evening with the exhibit of Indonesian artist Arkiv Vilmansa.

The talented illustrator, painter, and known for designing cartoon-like figures will be having an exhibit at the Vinyl on Vinyl this Saturday of December 11, 2010.

Arkiv Vilmansa has been doing this since 2005 shortly after finishing his Bachelor degree in Architecture.

Arkiv's first debut with vinyl figurine was called Arkiv Instant.
