Penguins of Madagascar Story Beginnings!

10.19.2014 – The Penguins of Madagascar has long been popular with the fans when they where first introduced in the original animated feature film. The foursome adventurers already have their own TV series even before DreamWorks decided with the movie. Although the upcoming movie doesn’t have any connection or continuity to the TV series being showed on Nickelodeon it’s a safe bet that the Penguins have built a cult following.

10.18.2014 – C.A.V.E. (Collections of Art and Visual Expressions) held at the newly opened Gil Puyat (formerly Buendia Avenue) branch of iAcademy, where aside from the special panel talk headed by The Simpsons character layout artist in Dane Romley. There were also exhibitors from PinoyLUG, Denis del Callar aka Dark Lord Dungeon, representatives from the Toy Photography community, and Toy Crew Buddies. There were other community groups into Nendoids and independent comic book artists.

Fall Out Boy is "Immortal" in Big Hero 6 Soundtrack!

10.18.2014 – What makes a good 3D animation memorable these days? Why it’s the soundtrack of course. It’s proven time and again that music plays a big role to these animated feature films dating back when Snow White was viewed in the big screen or Mickey Mouse became the wizard in Fantasia. It’s no difference with the upcoming Big Hero 6 get’s its own feel of music that would definitely make everyone want to get their own soundtrack. If Frozen in 2013 made a lot of people went out and sang “Let it Go” why not get the same vibe while head banging to Fall Out Boy’s “Immortal. Besides the title track that everyone might remind you to see Big Hero 6 again there are also the score that set this movie’s tone to launch it in the stratosphere of memorable Walt Disney Animation.

Beauty & the Beast Broadway in Manila 2015!

Disney Theatrical Productions, NETworks, Broadway Entertainment Group are collaborating together with Ovation Productions in bringing to the country the Broadway musical as part of its ongoing 10-country first-ever international tour in celebration of its 20th anniversary on the stage.

10.16.2014 – There have been many brands out there after LEGO®, which pioneered the construction toys. But what made the popular brick is their Minifigures, and others have followed suit with their own versions. 10.15.2014 – With the success of the Madagascar trilogy they look up to expand with a spinoff. The new animated feature will focus on the four Penguins that made Madagascar popular, which eventually their break out spinoff was produced into a TV series. The penguins Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private are headed to the big screen following the events of Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted. Now DreamWorks Animation and 20th Century Fox has released a four minute "Penguins Antarctic Documentary" trailer…

Diego Luna as Manolo in Book of Life!

10.15.2014 - Book of Life is not just about a story that focuses on the adventures. There are also characters that could be memorable in making this 3D animated film happen. There’s this love triangle between the three main characters voiced by Diego Luna, Zo Saldana and Channing Tatum. But mostly keep a keen eye on Diego Luna’s Manolo who only wants to be known for what he passionate for music and not of the bull fighting as seen in the trailers. Acclaimed actor Diego Luna had never before sung in a movie, and no one was more surprised and thrilled when he pulled it off in the colourful and vibrant world of “The Book of Life” (3D) directed by Mexican auteur Jorge R. Gutierrez. “Diego called me [after the first song recording session] and was very, very happy,” Gutierrez recalls. “He said, ‘Jorge, I can sing!’ And I love his voice in the movie.”

Sket One's Angry "CatchUp" Bottle!

10.13.2014 – Sket One based in New Connecticut has been a Graffiti artist since the 1990s, and has long been known for his custom art toys in the first series of the Dunny blind-boxed mini-figures by designer art toy company Kid Robot. Most of Sket-One’s signature works has some inspiration from the Heinz ketchup design in the later part of his career through his custom art toys. His latest work with Philippine toy designer Imagine Nation Studios (INS) is the exclusive CatchUp!

Dark Knight Rises This Halloween!

10.12.2014 – DC Comics year long celebration for Batman’s 75 Anniversary continues with the event that was being promoted at SM North Edsa’s The Block, where they featured merchandise, an interactive ride, clothing and apparel. The event started on October 10th and will run through the 19th, where collectible figures and memorabilia featuring the cape crusader will be on exhibit. There are also individuals in costume dressed as popular characters from the Batman mythology.

Star Wars Reads III at the Ayala Malls!

10.11.2014 – Saturday was the busiest day for events that happened, but Star Wars Reads has been announced a bit over a month prior to the set date. For those who don’t know what the event is all about it’s mostly an advocacy to promote literacy for the kids. It’s about getting the kids and younger ones to reading again either a comic book or a novel it is all about reading. This is Star Wars Reads third year as a global advocacy promoting about reading, which is a first for the Philippines to celebrate as its debut.
