Another legendary icon in the comic book industry passes away, and now that's two stars who have gone to a better place.
By way of Comic Book Movie, famed comic book writer, artist, editor and publisher Joe Simon, best known as the co-creator of the iconic Marvel Comics' character Captain America, passed away this December 14 at the age of 98. This is sad news to bear, especially after last week's news on the passing of Jerry Robinson, creator of The Joker and another legend in the comic industry.
As a legend in the industry, Simon is well known for his time in Timely Comics (which would become the future Marvel Comics), where he became the company's first editor. He teamed up with the late great Jack Kirby, and went on to create some of the best stories and characters known in comics, among them being the patriotic hero and star-spangled avenger himself, Captain America. Joe also teamed up with Kirby during their tenure on DC Comics, where they would go on to do work on Sandman and co-create the Newsboy Legion. They were pioneers in the field of romance and horror comics, and Joe would also found the satirical magazine series "Sick", which began in the 1960's and last until the 1980's, which was well after his departure from the magazine in the 1970's. His death comes a week after Robinson's, and this is really sad news for fans of his works. However, it's fortunate he was able to see the character he helped co-create get the newest big screen live action film treatment, with this past July's release of Captain America: The First Avenger.
Joe Simon Co-Creator of Captain America Interview: Captain America Poster
Here is one of the last interviews done with the legendary comic guru himself, where he talks about a Captain America poster, as uploaded by joesimonstudios in You Tube. For more on the story, visit the source post at CBM.
And here's a quote straight from the man himself about Cap:
"Back then we had the Nazis coming after us for what we did to their Fuhrer, but the world is an even more dangerous place today, with the weapons out there and the threat of terrorism. So Cap is more important than ever, and the readers need him more than ever. They need a hero they can count on to do the right thing." -Joe Simon (1913 - 2011)
R.I.P Joe Simon, and know that you have blessed uswith some of the most inspiring creations the world and comics has ever known.
In a manner similar to the first teaser trailer (and recently the TDKR Prologue as well), the new theatrical trailer for Christopher Nolan's next and final Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises, has been camcorded leaked online. Originally posted in Comic Book Movie, this is very bad and shaky camcord quality and it's not favorable to view, but if you still want to see it, here's the embedded video, as posted in You Tube.

*UPDATE: You Tube video has been taken down.
Honestly, it's better to wait for the real deal from Warner Bros. itself, but nevertheless, view at your own risk here. For more information, visit the source post at CBM.

It's been a while since I've posted anything on WWE, but today is a good day as any, as a well known and beloved superstar makes his long awaited return!
In last night's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw (December 12, 2011), Kane, the Big Red Machine himself, made his comeback during the highlight match of the night between John Cena and Mark Henry. The latter wrestler and WWE Smackdown's reigning World Heavyweight Champion put The Undertaker's brother out for five months, and since then nobody has heard from the Big Red Monster... until now. Check out the clip, as aired in WWE Raw and uploaded in You Tube.

GREAT SCOTT! I actually thought this was bogus, but as reported in Slash Film, it's true and it's very real!
Yes, you saw that! Legendary actor Christopher Lloyd participated in an Argentina advertisement and reprised his role as eccentric genius Dr. Emmet Brown from the"Back to the Future"movies! It's a strange advertisement that still has people buzzing as to the true nature of the ad, but the Doc rides and crashes his legendary DeLorean time machine into a Gambarino electronics superstore, so it could probably be a promotion for the shop as well. Look at the viral video below and judge for yourselves!
Back To The Future Argentina Commercial?!
Can you believe that?! The Doc rides the Time Machine again, complete with style and effects! This could be a small time thing, but it certainly evokes a lot of nostalgia and pleasant BTTF geekgasm right there! Also, check out this unofficial behind the scenes clip also posted up in You Tube!
As promised, Colombia Pictures and Marvel Studios have followed up with the teaser poster for "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance" by releasing the very first teaser trailer for the film! Everyone knows who Harrison Ford is. The legendary actor played Han Solo in the Star Wars franchise, and he was the swashbuckling adventurer Indiana Jones as well. Now he's about to set forth in a new adventure in the Wild West fighting against extra-terrestrials in the Jon Favreau directed "Cowboys and Aliens". Before that though, he has an "old score" to settle with an old friend, and everything went down during Ford's interview in Jimmy Kimmel. E! Online featured this You Tube clip on their site, and now you can see it here too!

LOL! Ah the memories of wookies and space adventurers!

Somebody camcorded it and posted it in You Tube, and a fansite for Batman Arkham City has posted it up. Check it out while it's still online (and it will be down soon). Otherwise, wait for the clear and real version to pop in anytime soon after this! For more info, check out the source post at Arkham City UK!

The Dark Knight Rises is scheduled for release on July 20, 2012!
Several sites, including Yahoo!and Screen Rant, have reported that a fan has posted a video from the set of Christoper Nolan's next epic Batman movie sequel, The Dark Knight Rises. The footage, being shot in Nottingham, England, has stars Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway assuming their roles as Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle respectively, filming a pivotal scene in the rain where the two interact as they arrive or are about to depart via cab from the newly restored Wayne Manor household. Not much can be said for the scene, and the video, uploaded in You Tube by user Bat Manor, shows the clip without any audio. You can check the above source sites links for more on the story, or take a look at the clip via this link (SPOILER MODE ON of course).
In other TDKR related news, it has been confirmed that Anne Hathaway WILL be donning the Catwoman suit after all, using the most recent and modern look Selina Kyle wears in the comics. According to a report posted in Hollywood Life and then reposted at Enewsi, the costume will be "less sexier" and look more "burglar like" than the ones worn by previous Catwoman actrors Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry, but fans and guys can rest easy knowing that the outfit will have the goggles and be form-fitted, making Hathaway "smoking hot" and "feline looking" in a role that will "take her to new places". For more info, visit the source posts at Hollywood Life and Enewsi!
After debuting with the new poster just a few hours ago, Yahoo! Movies has followed up with the Captain America: The First Avenger updates by releasing the full length second trailer for the movie! You can check it out below courtesy of You Tube!

Captain America: The First Avenger charges into theaters on July 22!
Reported in ComingSoon and SuperHeroHype, a new scene was filmed this past Saturday for Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios' second upcoming superhero flick "Captain America: The Firs Avenger". The scene, filmed in New York City's famous Times Square, has Chris Evans' Steve Rogers interacting with Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury. It doesn't take a fan to realize the significance of this particular scene, but those who don't get it should know this is practically a SPOILER, and it leads up to the upcoming Avengers film next year (as well as another Cap movie). You can check out more pics in the above links, or see some footage taken by onlookers on the set that made its way to You Tube in the embedded videos below.

Captain America: The First Avenger arrives in theaters this July 22, 2011.
Since the first teaser trailer last year and Super Bowl commercial last February (as well as the numerous exclusive footages at the Cons), fans and viewers haven't seen anything new come up for Jon Favreau's next picture, Cowboys & Aliens. Recently, the former Iron Man film director released a new trailer of his hot summer sci-fi action flick starring Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, and Olivia Wilde during American Idol, and now it has landed online, courtesy of sites like Slash Film and You Tube. There's not much new to see on this one, but it still dazzles and makes me want to see the flick when it comes out in theaters in July! Check it out in the embedded player below.
