08.02.2020 – There have been great Happy Meal toys and recent releases wasn’t what collectors are hoping for. The best ones that usually released are exclusives to a specific country or region and those were from collaboration with Disney that also owns Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and it’s other properties. The slowdown due to the worldwide pandemic has been a complicated challenge for companies like McDonald’s that release their Happy Meal toys. In Asia, there haven’t been toys from the fast-food giant that really was unforgettable like 101 Dalmatians or the United Nation’s Snoopy.

Shriektober 2019 at Trinoma Mall!

10.29.2019 – Shriektober is collaboration between Cartoon Network and Ayala Malls as the end of the week these events are held at selected Ayala Malls. Earlier today Shriektober was held at the main atrium of the Trinoma Mall, which brings some interesting activities and the opportunity to meet some familiar faces. Cartoon Network and Ayala Malls has held this Halloween event annually with some changes and mechanics on how to be part of this whole day affair. The crowd had lined up as early as 10 AM in the morning to be part of the event in spending the Halloween extravagant with kids get to meet their favorite CN characters.

Toy Expo 2016 | The Powerpuff Girls

08.24.2016 – There must be a drought for “Powerpuff Girls” merchandise lately and this is due to the shows time being off air. Recently Cartoon Network resurrected the TV series with a fresh look on the popular characters from Townsville. With that new series a new wave or merchandise was sighted during the recently concluded Toy Expo 2016, which was organized by Toy Kingdom on its third time being held every other year since 2012. This brings new toys that are either available or soon to be ready for its release and this includes the “Powerpuff Girls!”

Wakfu Premieres on Toonami with New Episodes!

06.09.2016 – Wakfu: The Animated Series is heading to Toonami Asia. The new series based on the videogame of same name is produced by Ankama Animation, originally a French animated television series which have 26 first season episodes. Yugo the Eliatrope and his friends in Sadida Kingdom take you to new adventures, which for those who played the game would get the familiarity of the show. This will be a fresh perspective also to new viewers a jumping point to catch the new series.

04.19.2016 – McDonald’s latest Happy Meal toy featured is ‘Adventure Time’, which is now available that has begun availability since Monday April 18th. This is now the first time ‘Adventure Time’ was featured as a meal toy. The first time Jake and Finn was the featured meal toy was in 2013 that also have BMO and Ice King as part of the set, which also include another version of the lead characters. For this Happy Meal four more characters where introduced.

04.16.2016 – “Adventure Time” continues to be relevant from the perspective of Jake the Dog and Finn, which earned a cult following due to its otherworldly narrative. It built its own following from the children to young adults. It has become a comicbook, videogame, and merchandise from action figures and now making a Happy Meal toy from McDonald’s. But this is not the first time Adventure Time featured as part of a toy meal this time they get a repeat with more characters.

After the series ended there where different iterations of the series, but Cartoon Network announced that they will reboot the series and it premiered today!

For a time they have been some iterations and parodies of the series. Toonami Inception 2013 Launch Party!

03.24.2013 – Toonami Inception is one day event activity in promoting the new cable channel for Philippine viewers. The event was held at the Eastwood Mall and there was no entrance fee for you to participate with your family. It was opened to the public from 12 to 8PM where it featured cosplayers like Iron Man from DR Industries. The venue was set up to look like a training camp for superheroes; aspiring fans can test their super human skills through fun and games.

Thundercats: Unreleased Toys in the Philippines!

07.06.2012 – If the planet of Thundera is doomed in the original series what happens now after the first season of the Thundercats has ended last month? There was still licensed merchandise coming out even though the series as loomed in limbo. Bandai the toy manufacturer who brought back the toys has gone and released a third wave of those 4” and 6” inch action figures. The Philippines only got the first wave since last April courtesy of Bankee Trading which is the toy distributor for all Bandai products.

Toy Sightings: New Thundercats!

04.28.2012 – The Thundercats revival when it premiered in North America was received with positive reception. This is not your dad’s cats and it doesn’t look like your average Saturday morning cartoon compared to the classic from the 1980s. We sighted that the new series also have the merchandise and the toys namely the action figures we first reported early in 2011. The fans clamored for more as the TV series debut sometime in July 2011 and the rest as they say is history.
