Movie Review | Spider-Man: Far From Home

07.03.2019 – With Great Power Must Have Great Responsibility. Everyone knows that was caption in the comicbook and uttered by Uncle Ben in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man. But the Marvel Cinematic Universe doesn’t need an adult to tell Peter Parker that entire he must find out from himself through trials and errors of his ways.

The film that will close out Phase Three of the MCU films as its sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming was a revelation to Peter Parker’s growth what it takes to be a superhero and there was been a wealth of visual perspective in this film that makes it more cheerful; than the last film that precedes it.

Definitely, the fun factor was dialed up that it was more focus now on the world of Peter Parker as the hero moving forward.

Like any Marvel Studios produced films it takes an identity of its own that the cast of characters are headed to a ‘Summer Vacation’ and in relative fashion still carries the vibe from Homecoming that it still the elements of a fresh adventure of the students that have Ned, MJ, and Peter with the rest of their class that was a whole lot of fun!

McDonald's Heading into the Spider-Verse!

12.07.2018 – If you’ve been living under a rock you might not be in know what’s the latest Happy Meal toy right now. For November 2018 you’ve got “Pokemon Asia” which was immediately sold out at the same time may or may not directly a tie-up merchandise for the animated feature film of the latest iteration simply titled “Pokemon The Movie: The Power of Us” that was shown last month.

This December it was something of an ironic as “Spider-Man: In to the Spider-Verse” clearly unexpected with McDonald’s Australia having already announced their next toy.

Spider-Man #4 | Ganke & Goldballs

06.25.2016 – Miles Morales can’t get enough breaks from his reality and superhero life. You’ve got the coolest abilities and a little bit better than the original Spider-Man, but what makes it even more challenging is having a friend named Ganke.

Ganke and Morales’ father are the only two people who know his secret identity; because you need people that you can trust when the going gets tough. But what‘s makes even more difficult is you have a friend who tries to be more than just a friend who teaches you about life and becoming Spider-Man.

Of course add pressure when a new student an ex-X-Man named Goldballs is added to the school, and makes Ganke make things harder for Miles to keep the secret. The stress must be far worse what Peter Parker was getting back in the day. But at those school years where Parker kept the identity all to himself.

This is a contrast to Miles Morales who just wants to have a decent life and one of the two people who you trust starting to act like he wants to be ‘cool’ too by letting Goldballs know what Miles is going through with the ‘superhero thing,’ was definitely uncool.

Spider-Man #3: Home Intervention!

04.20.2016 – Sometimes the best stories for any comicbook is the personal life of a superhero out of costume. You’ve probably read Matt Fraction and David Aja’s run telling the story of Hakweye when he’s not hanging out with the Avengers as Clint Barton, which was a refreshing perspective told in that point of view.

Now you’ve got Mile Morales who have successfully beaten Blackheart in the two previous issues face up against the one individual that he can’t possibly beat or avoid and that is -- His Grandmother?!

Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli takes the character they created appearing in the Ultimate universe to the main Marvel realm giving him the reality check that probably Peter Parker has never experienced. The third issue is about dealing with challenges closer to home and facing reality about his failing grades at the same time standing his ground against his very own grandmother.

Something you don’t see in recent comicbooks nowadays is the domestic problems a superhero face.

Spider-Man #2: New York's Hero!

03.05.2016 – Previously in Spider-Man if you have missed the debut issue of Miles Morales in the All-New, All-Different Marvel Universe then this issue will give you an idea about the dynamic between these two Spider-Men. Peter Parker appears in the last page giving his younger counterpart what has he done with the Avengers.

Not knowing what entirely happened in the first issue where the Avengers battled Black Heart and failed, where Miles Morales arrived and almost taken down single handed the son of Mephisto with his electrical “Venom Strike.” But at the end of the first issue nobody have witnessed that fight until Peter Parker arrived not believing that Miles what has happened and getting a mouthful lecture from his mentor.

Now he gets a lecture from the original Spider-Man and then suddenly Black Heart appears behind him and knocks him out. Miles did defeat Black Heart and the Avengers like him better than the original. The first few pages where simply impressive as Sara Pichelli works define this series as one of the hot picks each month now that there’s a new Spider-Man in town.

Spider-Man #1: What Did You Do?!

02.25.2016 – “Spider-Man” for all everyone knew it was always Peter Parker, a teenager gaining all the abilities from a radioactive spider that bitten home. Beneath the costume is a struggling young man dealing with school and life besides taking down the bad guys left and right.

Throughout the decades most who have known Spidey in all forms of medium has seen him grow and the character indeed have changed. But that Spider-Man was from a different generation most fans has gotten accustomed to while they are growing up. Peter Parker can’t stay young forever and as loon as his story is told things change and this generation might not get the same feel as those who first saw him.

Here comes Miles Morales from the Ultimate Universe that replaced the previous Spidey in that world who also survived the recent Secret Wars. Now that Marvel has integrated him in the main universe Miles become more of this generation’s Spider-Man and things will continue to change. But with Miles Morales appeal can agree with this generation not with Peter Parker, but this kid who may be the better version of the original that everyone has ever known.

S.H.I.E.L.D. #3: Home Invasion!

02.26.2015 - The first issue was interesting and fun seeing three characters from the hit TV series to appear in comic book form. The second issue almost topped the first one with Ms. Marvel collaborating with the team.

Now you got Spider-Man which catches your attention because he’s now Marvelous recently with Sony Pictures and Marvel teaming up to bring him to the cinematic universe. Of course in comic book form he’s been teaming up with other characters from the 616-Universe and mostly his contemporaries in the recently concluded Spider-Verse event. There’s so much interest now on the webcrawler that he’s finally coming home.

Well for this issue it’s not your basic homecoming as Spidey and Agent Coulson makes a house call to one Dr. Stephen Strange residence. Of course for those who remembered Captain America’s team who were on the run during Civil War event has made this place their own base of operations.

For Spidey it’s not your usual place to stay and Agent Coulson is way over his head not that the whole team was around to dealing these kinds of missions.

Electro Powered Jamie Foxx in ASM 2!

04.21.2014 – Electro is one of the iconic characters appearing in the original Amazing Spider-Man comics. The mainstre4am version appears to be a bit campy, but the one that appeared in the Ultimate Spider-Man comics is a little close to the one in film.

Electro was considered a b-list villain so many years in comics, but Sony Pictures seems like burrowing a formula that Marvel Studios is using to their characters. Enter Jamie Foxx as a ‘nobody’ named Max Dillon who would turn into the blue skinned Electro!

Emma Stone Shines as Gwen Stacy in ASM 2!

04.16.2014 – Emma Stone has breathe life to Gwen Stacy, the love interest of Peter Parker aka the Amazing Spider-Man. During her world tour promotion of the sequel she gets minimal questions about film and more of a different set of questions.

Ms. Stone is a BIG Spice Girls fan and so far that’s the most questions she gets from media. But aside from being into ‘girl power’ she brings that too in the latest film she’s starring along side Andrew Garfield and Jamie Foxx which she shines the most…

04.09.2014 – The upcoming Amazing Spider-Man 2 has mentioned previously before going into production that the web crawler is going to face two super villains. But it’s a surprise reveal last year that a third one will be making an appearance.

That third one did not get out until they release a three-piece interlocking poster that had Green Goblin in it. There was never even a passing mention of the name until Harry Osborn came and was also seen in the trailer and Dane DeHaan takes the role…
